Romania 1H Online Advertising At RON33.87M - Survey

Romanian online advertising market reached 33.87 million lei (EUR1-RON) in the first half of the year, close to the RON42.60 million figure reported for the entire year 2007, a survey compiled by IAB Romania and PricewaterhouseCoopers showed Wednesday.

“The survey offers, in premiere on the Romanian market, real numbers, based on sales reported by the largest companies in the field, instead of the past estimations,” said Ovidiu Flores, president of IAB Romania and Managing Partner with Media Investment company.

The Romanian Online Advertising Study includes sales reports from 11 major players on the local online advertising market, which represent over 700 websites total.

IAB Romania, founded in 2006, is a non-governmental organization that includes the largest companies operating on the local internet advertising market.
