Romania Registers 4,548 AH1N1 Infections, 18 Deaths

The death toll among AH1N1 flu patients in Romania is currently at 18.

The biggest number of new cases reported in the past 24 hours was in Bucharest (38) and counties (23), Botosani (13), Arges and Sibiu (12 each).

Starting next week, family physicians will vaccinate chronic patients over 16 who suffer from respiratory illnesses, diabetes, heart disease, cirrhosis, liver disease, HIV and also people with obesity. All AH1N1-related fatalities registered in Romania occurred in patients who also had other illnesses.
