Romanians Run 25,000 Firms Registered In Italy – UniCredit Official

According to a report released by the Italian Institute of International Commerce, 1,091 Italian firms with turnovers exceeding EUR2.5 million were registered in Romania in 2008, out of 3,923 Italian firms operating in Central and Eastern Europe. In 2008, 22,444 Italian firms posting turnovers of over EUR2.5 million were registered worldwide.

UniCredit data show that 6,000 Italian firms out of 13,616 Italian firms present on the Central and Eastern European market were regkistered in Romania last year.

Ferrazzi pointed out that the number of Italian firms in Central and Eastern Europe is 4.1 higher than the number of Italian firms that operate in China. Moreover, Italian firms registered in Romania outnumber those in China.

Romania’s imports from Italy account for 60% of China’s imports from Italy, while Romania’s exports to Italy stand at 20% of the exports to Italy operated by China.
